지난달판다메일을통해모집한자원봉사활동기억하시지요?WWF는지난9월28일파트너인HSBC의임직원가족들과WWF의후원자님들100명과함께여의도샛강생태공원에서유해식물제거활동을진행했습니다. 이날의자원봉사는습지복원과기후변화1.5도의중요성에대한교육으로시작했으며,해가내리쬐는더운날씨에도불구하고외래종이자생태교란식물인가시박을제거하는봉사활동으로진행됐습니다.

국제적인환경운동가가된어린소녀그레타툰베리의목소리는전세계의지지를얻어지난9월21일우리나라에서도기후위기대응을촉구하는행진으로이어졌습니다.서울대학로에서는WWF의후원자님들을포함해약3천여명이행진에참여했습니다.
동물을좋아하는전연선어린이후원자는어머니와함께기후위기비상행동행진에참여해“이번경험을계기로자연보전단체에서활동하는동물학자가되고싶다＂며자연을향한뜨거운애정을보여주었습니다.
9월23일,UN기후행동정상회담에서문재인대통령은 기후행동정상회담연설에서녹색기후기금(GCF)공여액을두배로늘리겠다고발표하고‘세계푸른하늘의날’지정을제안했습니다.
WWF기후·에너지프로그램안혜진팀장은“한국의녹색기후기금공여액증액은반가운소식이지만국제사회에서보다 강력한한국의리더십을기대한다”며‘세계푸른하늘의날’지정제안에그치지않고,대기오염도저감및기후를실질적으로안정화시킬수있는기후완화행동조치를강화해나가기를바란다”다고한국정부의기후변화대응을촉구했습니다.
